This is the proper way of using a “before” bite matrix to create a full arch bite. The matrix is included with your diagnostic wax-up and preparation guide. It is made from a siltex putty of the teeth before prepping. The photo is of an upper case. The first thing you will do is prepare the six anteriors. After finished prepping the six anteriors, use the prep guide to make sure there is enough reduction labially to match the wax-up.
Once that is done, put the “before” bite matrix on the lower teeth, and then squirt bite material in the anterior region. Now have the patient close into that “before” bite matrix. That is going to give us a bite of the anteriors only. Next, remove it from the lower teeth and set it on the tray. Now you are ready to prepare the right side. Once the right side is prepared, you are ready to take the bite on the right side. Trim the excess bite material in the anterior to make sure that it does not have a spring affect and only the incisal edges touch into the bite.
Now put the bite matrix on the lower teeth and squirt bite material on the right side occlusally. Now have the patient close into the bite matrix. The anterior bite is going to guide the patient into the proper position. Once bite material is set up, remove it from the lower teeth and set it on the tray. Now you are ready to prepare the left side. Follow the same procedure on the opposite side, trimming the excess from the right side and take your bite of the left side. Now you have a full arch bite that is very accurate. If you have any questions regarding this technique, please call Becden’s Technical Support, 888.344.9991.

How can managers and supervisors resolve conflict between the generations? Each situation will be different, of course, and a lot can depend upon which generations are in conflict, but following these five guidelines will help:
1. Use constructive feedback...
- Concentrate on the issue
- Stress key points
- Be specific about what you want
- Recognize others' points of view
- Don't communicate by manipulating
2. Pinpoint the problem--get people to work on the problem and not each other...
3. Look at the outcome of the objectives and not the process...
- Provide options for completion
4. Consider the value that each generation brings to the issue...
- Younger workers -- technological savvy
- Older workers -- business knowledge; how to make money
5. Take the time to learn how each generation needs and wants to communicate before giving feedback...
- Traditionalists want to be appreciated, need to know the reason for change and how it will increase value, and they want their interests acknowledged
- Baby Boomers want to communicate their input and jointly discuss action plans
- Generation Xrs want honesty and frankness; they tend to focus on expected results; they like to recommend tools and techniques, and they don't want to talk about the "good old days"
- Millennials want business reasons for change; they want to know how they affect the company; they will keep touching base and want to know you're there to help
In order to succeed as a manager or supervisor, you've got to get in tune with the people you work with.
